8. Account data and privacy
Your phone number supports SMS sign-in and authorised contact features. Public posts and business profiles display the name, area and information you choose to publish. Avoid putting private information in public descriptions or comments. The service uses account, listing, conversation and payment records to provide features, prevent abuse and reconcile verified payments. App analytics measure categorical actions, counts and performance; phone numbers, names, credentials, message bodies and raw search text are excluded from those measurements. Payment providers process their own payment records under their policies.
Optional contact discovery
Optional contact discovery. When you choose Sync contacts privately, Trueseller uploads the names and Ghana phone numbers you allow it to read and associates them with your signed-in account. This includes only selected contacts when your device grants limited access. A guest’s consent waits for sign-in before contacts are read or uploaded. Contact permission by itself does not authorise an upload.
The uploaded names and phone numbers are encrypted on the server. Keyed phone matching helps you find contacts who subsequently join Trueseller, create a public store and separately enable contact discovery. A private card can show your saved contact name and link to that public store in Explore on the app and website. Your saved names are not shown to other members. Trueseller does not send invitations or marketing messages to your contacts through this feature, and contact details are excluded from analytics.
You can turn off Sync my contacts in Settings to remove your uploaded copy, or turn off Let people find my public store to stop your store appearing in others’ contact-discovery cards. These controls are separate and initially off. Revoking device access removes your uploaded copy when the app next checks permission and can reach the server. Deleting your account also removes its contact uploads and discovery settings. Replacing a contact upload removes the previous accepted copy after the new one succeeds; incomplete uploads expire after 30 minutes.
