Cookie & browser storage policy

How the Trueseller website uses cookies and browser storage for sign-in, preferences and measurement.

What these technologies do

Cookies are small values that a website asks your browser to store and send with later requests. Local storage and session storage save information in your browser for website features. The website also caches some resources so they can load again without downloading every time.

This page describes the current website implementation. Read it together with our privacy information.

Sign-in and website features

When you sign in to the website, Trueseller uses an authentication cookie to recognise your session on its API. It is marked HttpOnly so website scripts cannot read it, uses SameSite restrictions, and is marked Secure on HTTPS connections. Signing out clears the website session cookie.

Browser storage also supports features such as saved preferences, listing drafts, recent searches, browsing history and cached marketplace results. Some entries are linked to the account using that browser. A temporary checkout reference may be kept in session storage while a payment is being confirmed.

Analytics and campaign measurement

The website uses Google Analytics when collection is enabled. Measurement covers categories of actions, counts and performance. The collector excludes phone numbers, names, credentials, message bodies and raw search text from its events. Google Analytics may use its own cookies to measure visits.

Trueseller’s website collector disables Google signals and advertising personalisation signals. It also does not initialise collection when it detects Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control or a saved analytics opt-out. Local development and marked browser tests do not send live analytics.

A recognised Trueseller advertising campaign can store a fixed campaign identifier and last activity time in session storage. The attribution expires after 30 minutes without activity. The collector does not store advertising click identifiers or arbitrary incoming campaign text through this feature.

See Google’s explanation of its cookie technologies for information about its services.

Your choices

You can use your browser’s cookie and website-data controls to inspect, block or clear stored information. Blocking authentication cookies can prevent sign-in. Clearing website data can remove locally saved drafts, preferences and history; keep a copy of anything you need before clearing it.

Privacy signals and the website’s saved analytics opt-out affect analytics collection. They do not replace the cookies or storage needed for features you choose to use. Browser settings and storage lifetimes vary, so this page does not promise one retention period for every stored entry.
