AHG (Anti-Human Globulin) Coombs’ Serum is mainly used in blood-bank and immunohematology testing. Main uses Direct Coombs Test (DAT): detects antibodies or complement already attached to a person's red blood cells. Indirect Coombs Test (IAT): detects antibodies in a person's serum/plasma that can react with red blood cells. Blood compatibility testing/crossmatching: helps detect clinically significant antibodies before transfusion.
