The kit addresses the needs of videographers who prefer a cost-effective shotgun microphone setup that stays out of the frame while maintaining smooth, natural audio reproduction and low handling noise. With its XLR output and dual powering modes, the NTG2 mic is well suited for use with professional camcorders, portable audio recorders, and multitrack field recorders, even if they don't supply phantom power.
