It's that time of year again when companies start rolling out products first shown at CES. For the past few years, Samsung hasn't made drastic design changes to its flagship soundbars. Instead, they've focused mainly on improving internal components and software. This year's Q990F continues that trend but with a few exceptions. I've been a big fan of previous models like the Q990D and Q990C, so I was excited to see what's been improved this time around. So, the question you're probably wondering: What's new this year, and what remains the same? Features The Samsung HW-Q990F is an 11.1.4-channel soundbar system that comes with the main bar, a wireless subwoofer, and two wireless rear speakers. Altogether, it’s a four-piece setup with 22 speakers in total and supports audio formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, AAC, WAV, FLAC, and MP3.
