The HD/M + USB2.0 to DP/M cable is an active adapter cable designed to connect an HDMI source device (like a laptop, console, or media player) to a DisplayPort monitor. HD/M (HDMI male): Carries the video/audio signal from your source device. USB 2.0 (male): Provides the extra power needed for the HDMI → DisplayPort conversion. DP/M (DisplayPort male): Outputs the converted signal to your monitor or display. Converts HDMI output → DisplayPort input (one‐way conversion).
