Wykamol Salt Neutraliser is an aqueous solution based on ethanoic acid with an added surfactant. It has been specifically developed to overcome the problem of salts in mineral building surfaces. Due to rising damp, salts contained in the groundwater are absorbed into the masonry and subsequently into the interior plaster coat. The plasterwork should be removed and a damp-proof course (DPC) using Ultracure Damp-proofing Cream should be carried out. The masonry should then be treated with Wykamol Salt Neutraliser followed by a replastering specification with an appropriate salt-resistant product to prevent further damage, such as Wykamol Renovation Plaster or Renderproof.
