Mannitol Salt Agar (USP Basis, SRL) – selective and differential medium for isolating Staphylococcus aureus. Contains peptones, beef extract, 7.5% NaCl, mannitol, phenol red, and agar. pH: 7.2 ± 0.2. Supplied as 100 g dehydrated powder for 1 L preparation.
