This converter allows you to connect microphone input into your iphone lighting port for livestreaming or recording of audio from irig soundcard or audio mixer or any other audio source that you may need to capture into your iphone. It also allows you to playback audio from your iphone when you connect headphone to the headphone port. You can connect iphone charger into the lighting port on the converter. There is a volume control wheel for controlling both the microphone and the headphone out on the converter. Don't connect expect to connect a normal earpiece with trrs connector into the microphone port and expect to speak and hear calls through that port at the same time. The converter has clear separated both the mic and the headphone.
