# Magill Forceps

The main use of **Magill forceps** is to **guide a breathing tube** (endotracheal tube) into the windpipe during a difficult intubation.
Because of their unique angle, they allow a clinician to precisely grab the tip of the tube and steer it into place without their hand blocking the view of the patient's throat.
