# Alcohol Meter

An alcohol meter (or alcoholmeter/alcometer) is used to measure the alcohol by volume (ABV) percentage or proof in distilled spirits, moonshine, vodka, and pure water-alcohol mixtures. It works by measuring the density of the liquid (lower density means higher alcohol content).
