. Comparison with Lenovo Rectangle (Slim Tip) and USB-C
Lenovo transitioned away from the 7.9mm round pin in favor of the rectangular "Slim Tip" connector (which resembles a yellow USB-A port) starting around 2013 with ThinkPad T440/X240 models. Modern Lenovo laptops primarily use USB-C Power Delivery (PD) or slim-tip connectors, though the compact 4.0mm round pin remains in active use across budget IdeaPad models.
