Function: They fill concrete pores, making them less porous and more resistant to wear.
Types:
Liquid Densifiers: Clear liquids (often silicate-based) applied to new or old concrete to increase, often used to prevent dusting.
Dry-Shake Hardeners: Applied during finishing of new concrete to increase strength and color.
Application: Generally applied to clean, slightly porous, and dry surfaces. For liquid hardeners, they are usually sprayed on and brushed in.
Benefits: Prevents excessive chipping and cracking, extends floor lifespan, and reduces dust.
